Former Fox Business Producer Jennifer Eckhart Dies at 36 in Florida

HOBE SOUND, Fla. — Jennifer Eckhart, a former Fox Business Network associate producer, media personality, and advocate, has passed away at the age of 36.

Local law enforcement and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that emergency responders were dispatched to Eckhart’s home in Hobe Sound, Florida, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, where she was found dead. Authorities have ruled the manner of death as a suicide.

A Prominent Career in Media and Advocacy

Eckhart began working at Fox News Media in 2013, starting in administrative operations before advancing to an associate producer role for the Fox Business Network. During her time at the network, she contributed to business journalism coverage and broadcast production.

In July 2020, Eckhart became a prominent voice in workplace accountability after filing a high-profile federal lawsuit against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, accusing him of sexual assault and abuse. The lawsuit led to Henry’s termination from the network. Eckhart spoke publicly about her experiences to empower trauma survivors and advocate against workplace harassment.

The federal suit against Henry was resolved in June 2025 through an out-of-court settlement, while related claims against the network were dismissed in earlier court rulings.

Post-Fox Career and Reinvention

Following her tenure in television news, Eckhart launched the podcast REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart, where she hosted conversations with public figures, athletes, and entrepreneurs about resilience, overcoming personal adversity, and professional growth. She was also actively involved in advocacy projects aimed at supporting survivors of workplace misconduct.

Friends, colleagues, and followers have expressed shock and sadness over her sudden passing, leaving tributes across social media honoring her courage, strength, and contributions to public discourse.
