High-Profile Legal Battle

Eckhart gained widespread national attention in July 2020 when she filed a high-profile lawsuit in federal court against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, accusing him of sexual misconduct and rape during their time working at the network.

Henry, who was terminated by Fox News in July 2020 following an internal investigation into the complaint, consistently denied the allegations, claiming the relationship was consensual.

The extensive legal battle spanned several years:

  • Fox News Dismissal: Federal courts granted summary judgment in favor of Fox News, finding that the network did not have prior knowledge of the alleged conduct before Eckhart came forward.
  • Civil Settlement: In mid-2025, Eckhart and Henry resolved the remaining civil claims out of court shortly before a scheduled trial, resulting in the case’s dismissal.

Life After Fox News

Following her departure from cable news, Eckhart launched a podcast titled REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart, where she interviewed prominent figures from business, entertainment, and sports about overcoming adversity and rebuilding their lives. She also established The Reinvented Project, an initiative aimed at offering support and animal-assisted therapy to trauma survivors.

Eckhart frequently spoke publicly about the mental and emotional toll of prolonged litigation, reflecting after her settlement that she had worked to turn personal pain into purpose for others.
