Model Presley Gerber, son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, dies at 27
LOS ANGELES — Presley Gerber, model and son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27.
Online records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirm that Gerber passed away Sunday at a Southern California rehabilitation facility. An official cause of death has not yet been released pending an autopsy.
In a statement provided to the press, a representative for Crawford shared: “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
A life in front of the lens
Born in July 1999, Presley was the eldest child of Crawford and Gerber and the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber, 24.
He launched his fashion career at age 15 after signing with IMG Models, making his runway debut in 2016 for Moschino in Los Angeles. Over the years, Gerber starred in major campaigns for high-profile fashion houses including Calvin Klein, Celine, Dolce & Gabbana, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Candid advocacy around mental health
In recent years, Gerber gained attention for his openness surrounding his personal struggles with mental health and substance abuse.
In social media posts and media appearances, Gerber frequently spoke about his experiences with anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, stating that he hoped sharing his journey publicly would help others facing similar challenges feel less isolated.
His sister, Kaia Gerber, recently reflected on her family’s dynamic and her brother’s journey during an interview with Vogue, noting that Presley’s decision to be open about his struggles served as a reminder to be human in the public eye.
Gerber is survived by his parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, and his sister, Kaia.
