FKA Twigs and Shia LaBeouf End NDA Fight in Major Settlement, freeing Twigs to discuss her experiences after disputed confidentiality terms were terminated now.
FKA Twigs and Shia LaBeouf Reach Settlement
FKA Twigs and Shia LaBeouf End NDA Fight in Major Settlement, marking a dramatic turning point in their long-running legal dispute between former partners.
The agreement follows months of renewed courtroom conflict surrounding confidentiality provisions included within their earlier settlement agreement reached last year.
Court documents show LaBeouf agreed to terminate and void the disputed nondisclosure provisions, resolving the central issue Twigs challenged.
Twigs Can Now Speak About Her Experiences
Twigs filed her latest lawsuit after challenging confidentiality provisions that she argued improperly restricted her ability to discuss alleged abuse.
Her legal team argued California law prevents certain settlement agreements from silencing people discussing sexual misconduct claims publicly.
The singer now has greater freedom to discuss her experiences and support charitable causes without facing those disputed restrictions.
For Twigs, the settlement provides the practical outcome she sought when challenging the confidentiality provisions through the California courts.
The Legal Dispute Began Years Earlier
Twigs originally sued LaBeouf in 2020, accusing him of sexual battery, assault, and emotional distress during their relationship.
LaBeouf denied the allegations, while both sides eventually resolved that earlier lawsuit privately through a settlement reached during 2025.
That agreement included nondisclosure provisions, which later became the focus of another dispute between the former couple.
Arbitration Added Fresh Tension
The conflict resurfaced after Twigs publicly discussed her experiences during an interview, prompting LaBeouf to challenge her comments.
LaBeouf pursued arbitration in December 2025, arguing that Twigs had violated confidentiality provisions through those public remarks.
Twigs responded with another lawsuit in March, arguing the disputed provisions violated California protections surrounding sexual misconduct-related agreements.
The latest settlement also ends that arbitration, removing another legal obstacle between the former couple after months of renewed disagreement.
What the Settlement Means Going Forward
Importantly, the settlement does not produce a judicial ruling deciding whether the challenged NDA violated California law directly.
Instead, LaBeouf agreed to void the disputed provisions, giving Twigs the practical freedom she requested through her lawsuit.
Meanwhile, LaBeouf’s attorney said the actor wishes Twigs well and wants their longstanding dispute to finally reach its conclusion.
The resolution closes another chapter in a highly public legal battle that has followed both entertainers for several years.
