Lane Kiffin’s Daughter Hits Back at Vulgar Banners

Landry Kiffin responds to vulgar banners at Ole Miss, denying rumors linking her to a former player as Lane Kiffin prepares for his Oxford return.

Landry Kiffin, the daughter of LSU football coach Lane Kiffin, has spoken out after vulgar banners appeared around Oxford, Mississippi, ahead of her father’s highly anticipated return to Ole Miss.

The 21-year-old, who remains a student at Ole Miss, addressed the controversy in a TikTok video Wednesday night after receiving photos of banners containing inappropriate references to her and a former Ole Miss football player.

Kiffin said the claims were false and stressed that she has never met the former player referenced in the banners.

“I’m my own person,” Kiffin said, while criticizing the decision to make her the subject of sexual jokes because of her father’s contentious departure from Ole Miss.

Landry Kiffin calls out the banners

According to OutKick, several bed-sheet banners were displayed around Oxford this week as tensions increased ahead of Saturday’s LSU-Ole Miss matchup.

Kiffin said she was particularly frustrated that the messages involved someone she said she had never met.

“I’ll never understand how someone can feel good about themselves putting such vulgar things about a girl on a giant banner hanging from their house,” she said.

She also asked people to remember that there is a real person behind the jokes and messages circulating online.

The claims appear to stem from a long-running rumor involving Kiffin and a former Ole Miss player. The allegation has not been established as fact, and Kiffin has directly denied the connection. OutKick also reported that the player was not named in its coverage.

Controversy surrounds Lane Kiffin’s return

The incident comes at a particularly charged moment for the Ole Miss football program.

Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss after the 2025 season to become LSU’s head coach, setting up his return to Oxford with the Tigers for Saturday night’s SEC showdown. The matchup has attracted significant attention, with security preparations also increasing around the city, according to reports.

Landry Kiffin remains connected to both sides of the rivalry. She is an Ole Miss student and has also been publicly linked to LSU linebacker Whit Weeks.

For Landry, however, the focus is not on the rivalry itself but on the personal impact of being pulled into it.

“I hope people realize there is an actual person behind the jokes that they make,” she said.

She ended her message with a simple appeal: “Let’s do better.”

The controversy adds another layer to an already tense LSU-Ole Miss matchup, as Lane Kiffin prepares to return to the stadium where he spent six seasons as the Rebels’ head coach.
