Phil Collins Teases ‘Fat People With Guns’ Song as the music icon discusses America, Trump, and his surprising idea for potential new music.
The 75-year-old British music icon discussed the provocative song idea during a recent interview with Piers Morgan.
Collins explained that he wrote the unusual phrase down because he did not want to forget it.
Phil Collins Reveals His Unusual Song Idea
During the conversation, Collins discussed songwriting and explained how ideas sometimes arrive unexpectedly.
He then revealed that one potential song carries the striking title “Fat People With Guns.”
Collins said the unfinished concept focuses on America, although he has not developed the song fully.
The musician also suggested that he might eventually build an entire song around that provocative phrase.
Collins Says He Is Not Currently Writing Songs
Despite revealing the potential title, Collins acknowledged that he no longer regularly writes songs.
The legendary performer also discussed his changing relationship with music during the wide-ranging conversation.
He explained that physical limitations have affected his ability to play drums and continue performing normally.
Collins said he has not played drums for many years, marking another major change in his musical life.
His Comments About Trump Also Drew Attention

Collins said he did not think highly of Trump before describing his manner as unattractive.
He argued that presidents historically carried themselves with greater elegance, even during political disagreements.
Those comments added another controversial element to an interview already generating attention among music fans.
The Song Remains Unfinished
For now, there is no indication that Collins has recorded or scheduled a release for the song.
The title currently represents an idea that the musician could potentially develop into a finished composition.
Collins indicated that he might write around the phrase eventually, while acknowledging someone else could use it first.
That uncertainty means fans should not expect an official release unless Collins later confirms further progress.
